A Calvary Chapel Global Network.

Calvary Global Network (CGN) is a family of churches working together to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and plant churches.

Our DNA.

We work together for Gospel-centered renewal, providing leaders with relationship and resourcing as we follow the way of Jesus.

We’re committed to being a part of something bigger than just one church. We’re a family, consisting of Churches across national and denominational borders.

Together, we’re committed to the renewal of all things through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe the best way to do this is through providing relationship that will help disciples of Christ serve together, and resources that will help disciples serve well.

WHY  “CALVARY” GLOBAL NETWORK?

Calvary, or Golgotha (Koinē Greek: Γολγοθᾶ) was, according to the canonical Gospels, a site immediately outside Jerusalem’s walls where Jesus was crucified. It was known to the Hebrews as “the place of the skull.” It is from this place of death that Jesus began the work of resurrection and renewal.

With CGN, we aim to follow the pattern Christ left us by engaging with a lost and dying culture in effort to see renewal in and through the church.

The founding members of CGN all have deep roots in the Calvary Chapel church movement. Our desire is to take all the amazing things we’ve learned from our past and carry them forward into the future, partnering together with like-minded ministry leaders across the globe in our mission.

What We Do.

We accomplish our mission through three focus areas: Renewal, Relationship, and Resourcing.

Renewal

We believe that God is on a mission to renew all things through the life, death, resurrection, and rule of Jesus (Eph. 1:9-10). We believe the church is the fruit of the missionary activity of God that brings renewal to the world, and the church serves as a catalyst of God’s mission of renewal as we proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and plant churches in partnership with Him and one-another (Mk. 16:15; Matt. 28:19).

Relationship

Relationships are at the heart of God’s mission and what it means to be a network of churches. CGN facilitates opportunities for leaders to connect and cultivate relationships for leadership care, coaching, and collaboration, as we partner together in God’s mission of renewal.

Resourcing

As an organization, CGN seeks to respond to the resource needs of church leaders around the world by publishing theologically rich and practically relevant content, developing tools, processes, and strategic partnerships for leadership assessment, training, care, and coaching.

CORE VALUES

Missional Life + Ministry

CGN values the flexibility to be both biblically faithful and culturally engaging as we proclaim the unchanging gospel message in terms and methods that overcome cultural and social barriers to understanding. We further believe that every local body of Christians should be free and encouraged to practice the essence of the faith in local church expressions that resonate deeply with their cultural context and background.

Gospel-centered Life + Ministry

CGN values a gospel-centered approach to life and ministry, exalting in and working from the implications of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We believe Christian preaching, discipleship and church planting efforts should be intentionally gospel-centered in theology and practice.

Kingdom Vision

CGN values God’s work and wisdom through the worldwide body of Christ – acknowledging diversity of theological and ministry convictions. We welcome and pursue collaborative ministry partnerships with like-minded movements, denominations, churches, seminaries and other Christian ministries, for the sake of the gospel.

Biblical Literacy

CGN values the essentiality of the Bible to Christian faith and spirituality. We believe healthy Christian lives and congregations require biblical teaching and education through culturally appropriate methods, that God’s people might understand His will, submit to His authority and find vitality in His truth.
